Art runs in my blood. Both of my grandmothers painted. My mother was an artist and taught art in Santa Fe, New Mexico and in Texas.
I’ve long been intrigued by art, but most of my life followed a different path. I graduated from West Point and then from Harvard Business School. I began experimenting with water colors while at West Point, but the closest I got to an art class was being a member of the school’s first art history class. I’ve spent time in the army and in the foreign service, and I’ve worked as both a management consultant and an adjunct university professor. I’ve worked in or vacationed in 47 states and 29 countries.
All of this time has been good, but nothing has been more exciting than when I really hit it right on the canvas.
I’m married and have three daughters. I live in Dallas, Texas and spend parts of the year in Charleston, South Carolina and New Haven, Connecticut.
